Alison Young creates music videos that enhance the listener’s experience of her music, both her original songs and her quirky interpretation of other artists’ songs. Watching the videos, you will have as good a time as Alison did making them. The video of Country Dreamin’ doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is an ode to the classic country music video, complete with pretty horses, a few heifers, a hay barn, pickup truck, tractor, and a pretty girl. This video of Play it Again is a loving interpretation of a popular Luke Bryan song. Young uses a split screen, playing both parts side by side, and she changed the lyrics somewhat to offer a different perspective. Pulling inspiration from Miranda Lambert’s own video for her song, All Kinds of Kind, this rendition offers its own urban twist. Shot on a sunny summer day, we follow Al as she wanders through New York City, mixed with shots of her playing live, and still photos from Boston, MA and Austin, TX.
